There’s something new and exciting happening in a browser near you. For Chrome users, there is now an extension that makes it exponentially faster for you to quickly access Trello boards, plus the ability to easily add cards.

Install the Chrome extension here and link up your Trello account. Then the fun begins.

Search For Boards Right From The Address Bar

With Trello for Chrome, press “t” followed by a space in the address bar (also called Omnibar), and instantly you’ll be searching directly in Trello. From there, type any portion of the name of a board and results will show up as a drop down menu in the address bar. Select the board you want, and boom, you’re there.

Don’t sweat it if you only remember a snippet of the board name, because Trello for Chrome will still find it. It’s a convenient way to surface the board you need and jump to it right in your browser, where you already spend most of your time.

Add Cards To Boards

Another fun thing you can do is easily create cards from outside links using the icon. Let’s say you’re scouring AirBnB for your next vacation rental spot and you’re using a Trello board to keep everything together.

Every time you find a listing for a great house click the Trello icon in the top right corner, select your board from the dropdown menu, and check off the checkbox “Attach [Link name].”

A card with the link is automatically created. You can even add additional notes in the text box. As you might have guessed, this is also a quick way to create a regular card right from the browser. You can select the board and list where you want the card to live.

Now isn’t that fun? Right now this is only available in Chrome (English only), but we are exploring the possibility of making it available in other browsers (and languages!).
