Parlez-vous français? If you don't, pas de problèmes, you can start practicing with us right now, because we officially do. Today is our Première with the language of Molière! We've resisted the temptation to change our name to Trelleau, Trellau, Treillau or Treillau but we couldn’t help adding a little je ne sais quoi.

In France alone we already have 230,000 users, but we know that our French speaking community reaches far beyond French borders. That’s why Trello is now available en français for everyone. It's time to share your favorite board with your French speaking friends!

As inspiration knows no limits, here are some boards we hope to inspire your bonnes idées:

The French adventure has been slightly different for us from launching other languages. We started our crowdsourcing program: today we wouldn't have had croissant for le petit-déjeuner if it wasn't for our 40 wonderful translators and reviewers who dedicated their time to help us go through all the French grammar faux pas. They translated 45,200 words in less than a month! Bravo! If you'd like to know more about crowdsourcing you'll find information here and here.

Editor’s note: I’m Alexia, and I joined the Marketing Team at Trello in June 2015 as an International Product Marketing Manager. I’m also French, so this launch has been an extra special, personal experience. I am dedicated to making Trello an international platform. In other words, my job is to literally take Taco for a walk around the world! We want him to learn as many languages as he can and discover as many cultures as exist, so be prepared!
